Blanco Fence Installation: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide

We install Blanco-compatible fence sections, gates, and post assemblies throughout Fort Worth, with most complete installations running between $3,500 and $9,000 depending on linear footage, post condition, and whether we’re pulling a fresh permit. We stock the common Blanco post brackets, gate hinges, and latch hardware on our trucks, so a gate that’s dragging or a post that’s leaning can usually be addressed the same week we look at it. Most Fort Worth homeowners discover a failing Blanco fence part the same way: a gate that suddenly won’t close square, or a post that tilts after a hard Tarrant County windstorm.

Bradford Remodeling Co Fort Worth is an independent service provider and not affiliated with Blanco. What we bring is two decades of pulling permits and standing up fences in North Texas soil, plus a written price before any work starts.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco’s residential fence line runs through three generations in the DFW market: the original Blanco Classic post-and-rail system, the Blanco Horizon panel series (which uses a hidden bracket and channel design), and the Blanco Estate aluminum series, which is powder-coated and built for full sun exposure without fading. The compatibility gotcha Fort Worth homeowners hit most often is trying to use Classic post caps on Horizon posts. They look close, but the channel depth is off by 3/16 of an inch, and you’ll know it when the cap won’t seat flush.

To identify your exact part before ordering anything, check the bottom flange of any post or the back of a gate hinge. Blanco stamps a two-letter series code there: CL for Classic, HZ for Horizon, and ES for Estate. If the stamp is gone, measure the post interior width. Classic runs 3.75 inches flat, Horizon runs 4 inches with a channel groove, and Estate is a 2.75-inch square profile. For Fort Worth weather specifically, the original Classic powder coat tends to chalk and thin after about 9 to 11 years of direct Texas sun, which is when we recommend swapping to the baked-on Estate finish rather than repainting. You’ll get another 12 to 15 years out of the upgrade.

On the OEM-versus-aftermarket question: Blanco’s OEM brackets and hinges are milled to the exact post profile, but they’re priced at a premium and sometimes backordered by 3 to 4 weeks. Quality aftermarket equivalents from the major fence hardware manufacturers fit the same channel dimensions, and we’ve installed hundreds of them without a callback. We’ll give you both prices, tell you which one we’d put on our own fence, and put the number in writing before we touch a post.

Signs Your Blanco Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Gate drags or scrapes the ground on the latch side. This almost always means the upper hinge has pulled away from the post face, usually because the original screws stripped out in North Texas drought-and-rain cycles. The post itself is usually fine; the hinge anchor is the failure point.
  • Post leans in one direction, and the panel starts to sag with it. In Fort Worth’s black clay soil, a post that wasn’t set below the 12-inch frost-adjacent zone (or wasn’t secured with enough concrete) will work itself loose over 4 to 6 wet seasons. The fence is still repairable, but you’re looking at a post reset, not a quick shim.
  • Sections rattle loudly in wind, or you can see daylight between the bracket and the post. The hidden channel brackets on Horizon panels have a small polymer gasket that compresses over time. Once the gasket goes flat, the panel claps against the post in storms. Blanco sells the gasket separately, and we keep them on the truck because it’s a 15-minute fix per panel.
  • Latch still works, but the gate no longer sits flush when closed. The post is fine; the hinge knuckle on the lower bracket has elongated from years of the gate swinging in Fort Worth’s prevailing south wind. You can tighten the hinge bolt, but the knuckle stays oval, and the gate will drop again within weeks.
  • Powder coat is chalking off in sheets, exposing raw aluminum underneath. This is sun degradation, not a structural failure, but you’re at the point where moisture is working into the channel hardware. Once the coating fails, we recommend replacing the affected panels rather than spot-painting. Repaint on aluminum without a proper etch primer lasts about 18 months in Texas sun before it flakes again.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled kitchen with a waterfall island and wood cabinets

For a full Blanco-compatible fence installation in Fort Worth, you’re realistically looking at $3,500 to $9,000. The bottom of that range covers a standard 40 to 60 linear foot perimeter with straight post replacements and new panel hardware, no grading work. The top end covers 150+ linear feet, full post resets in hard clay, custom gate fabrication, and the Estate-series powder-coated upgrade. Every quote includes parts, labor, concrete, hardware, and permit fees if the city of Fort Worth requires one for your setback.

What moves the number is post condition more than panel count. If the original posts are set in shallow concrete and the clay has heaved them, we’re digging and resetting every one of them, and that’s labor. If the posts are sound and we’re doing a panel-and-hardware refresh, the job is faster and cheaper. You get a written line-item quote before any work starts, and it doesn’t change at the door. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every fence installation we complete: if a post shifts or a hinge fails inside the first year, we come back and correct it at no charge to you.

DIY or Call Us?

What a Fort Worth homeowner can safely check on a Blanco fence is the simple stuff: tighten hinge bolts, replace a striker plate, adjust the latch on a gate that just needs a quarter-inch of travel. If a post is leaning, do not try to pull it straight with a come-along and a truck hitch. You’ll either snap the post at the concrete line or pull the fence out of square and stress every bracket on the run.

Any post reset, any gate rebuild, any panel replacement that touches a shared property line, and any work that requires pulling a Fort Worth permit is where we earn the call. We’ve dug out posts in June heat where the clay was set like fired brick, and we’ve pulled permits on fence lines that sit on odd easements. That work isn’t worth a weekend and a rented auger. One call to (682) 204-4897 gets you a written price and a straight scope.
