Belgard Fence Installation: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide

Belgard fence installation in Fort Worth typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 for a full perimeter using Belgard’s fence panel and post systems, with gate work adding $600 to $1,800 depending on width and hardware. We stock Belgard-compatible posts, panels, and hardware on our trucks, so most repairs get finished same week, not same month. Most owners discover a failing fence the ugly way: a post leaning hard after a spring storm, a gate dragging across the concrete, or a panel cracked where the kids’ basketball keeps hitting it.

If your Belgard fence is sagging, cracking, or pulling away from the posts, you want a straight answer about what it costs to fix and whether the rest of the line is going to follow. That’s what this page is for. Curtis Lane and our crew have been setting Belgard fence systems in Fort Worth for years, and we’ve seen what North Texas clay soil and hundred-degree summers do to a fence that wasn’t set right the first time.

Which Belgard Models This Applies To

A remodeled family room with new windows and a window seat

Belgard makes two fence families that dominate Fort Worth yards: the modular concrete fence panels (often paired with their posts and caps) and the more decorative screen blocks used for accent walls. The modular panels come in a few standard heights, most commonly 4-foot and 6-foot, with panel widths that are not universal across generations. An older Belgard panel from a 2015 build will not always drop into a 2023 post without a shim. We check the post slot width and panel tongue profile before ordering anything, because a half-inch difference turns an easy swap into a custom fabrication job.

If your fence was installed before 2018, pull one panel and look at the bottom edge. Belgard stamps a date code and mold number on most panels. That code tells us whether you have the current mold or a discontinued one. For discontinued molds, we match an aftermarket panel from Oldcastle’s current line or cut down a Belgard panel to fit. OEM Belgard parts cost more, but the color match is dead on. Aftermarket equivalents can save 20 to 30 percent, and on a large run the color difference is usually visible only if you’re looking for it. For one or two replacements, we recommend OEM. For a full fence rebuild, the savings on aftermarket often covers the gate hardware.

We also work with hardscaping brands like KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone on larger projects, but Belgard is the only fence line we quote with a fixed installed price, not a materials-only number.

Signs Your Belgard Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Lean at the post, not the panel. Fort Worth’s clay soil expands when wet and contracts in drought. Posts set with too little concrete or a hole that wasn’t flared at the bottom start leaning within two or three seasons. The panel itself is usually fine; the footing is what failed.
  • Hairline cracks radiating from the post corners. This is freeze-thaw damage. Water gets into the post cap joint, freezes during one of our rare hard dips, and the expansion cracks the concrete. Once water has a path in, the crack grows every winter.
  • Gate sags or scrapes the concrete by July. Concrete fence panels are heavy, and gate posts take all of that weight on the hinge side. If the post wasn’t set deep enough or the hinges weren’t through-bolted, the whole gate drifts downward within a year or two.
  • Panels shifting out of the post slots. A panel that’s walked a quarter-inch out of the slot means the post below it is twisting. This is common on slopes where runoff undercuts one post and not the others.
  • White mineral streaks under the panel edges. Efflorescence tells you moisture is moving through the concrete. It’s cosmetic on its own, but repeated wetting and drying weakens the panel over time in Fort Worth’s summer heat, especially on the afternoon-sun side.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled primary suite with built-in wardrobes and a window seat

A full Belgard fence installation in Fort Worth lands between $3,500 and $9,000. The spread comes from three things. First, how many linear feet you have. Second, whether we’re reusing your existing footings or pouring new ones; in most Fort Worth soils, reusing old footings on a leaning post is throwing money away. Third, gate count. Each gate adds posts, hardware, and a day of adjustment time.

Here’s the breakdown we quote from:

  • Post replacement, including new concrete footing: $180 – $320 per post
  • Panel replacement (materials and install): $85 – $165 per panel, depending on height and mold generation
  • Gate rebuild with new hardware: $600 – $1,800 per gate
  • Full fence install, new footings, no gate: $28 – $42 per linear foot

Every quote is a written, line-item price before any work starts. No number moves at the door. If the scope changes because we find rotten old footings or a gas line where the post was supposed to go, you see the revised number in writing before we touch it. The completed job carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if anything we set fails within a year, we come back and make it right at no charge. That includes the footing, the panel, and the hardware.

For a single cracked panel, a homeowner with a strong back can wrestle the old panel out and drop a new one in, provided the post slots are intact and the panel is the same mold generation. That’s a Saturday job; you’ll need a second person because these panels run 80 to 120 pounds each. For a leaning post, do not try to “straighten” it with a jack or a sledge. The post is pulling down on the panel beside it, and when it lets go, concrete panels do not bend. They crack, they fall, and they’ve taken fingers with them. Post work is a job for a crew with a mini-excavator or a post-hole digger and the right lifting gear.

If the lean is more than a couple degrees, or the gate has started scraping, call (682) 204-4897 and we’ll come measure it. The estimate is free, and you’ll get the real cost of doing it right the first time.
